Hey–here’s a new feature for my world famous blog- “The Kindle Corner”

I’m not sure if you realize it but there’s a whole new world of reading opportunities out there. Many formerly undiscovered authors who were under-appreciated by the publishing business are now stars in the ebook world.

If you love to read and have a Kindle or a Nook or an Ipad or a who-knows-what-else there’s other good news–Kindle books are often really cheap.

My publisher Echelon sets the price of at $2.99, That’s right, you can get the Pulitzer-worthy “Out Cold” for about the cost of an expensive cup of coffee.

I’m going to spotlight some author friends who now have great readership followings because of the ebook craze. You should check these folks out.

This week I want to tell you about my friend LJ Sellers.

Her Detective Wade Jackson series features a homicide detective who is 20-year veteran of the Eugene, Oregon Police Force. He’s in his early 40’s, divorced and has custody of his teenage daughter. He’s a big guy whose own self image isn’t always great but women seem to be attracted to him more than he realizes. He loves fast cars and drives a vintage GTO.

In “The Sex Club” Jackson works closely with Planned Parenthood and has to deal with a mayor who seems just a little on the slimy side. It’s a fast read filled with suspense that doesn’t rely on the usual cliches.

LJ’s stuff is entertaining but it also touches on social issues and makes you think–exactly what I look for in a mystery.

  1. L.J. Sellers says:

Hey, Tom. Thanks for featuring me. I love writing about Jackson, and I love my Kindle. Life is good.

  2. D. B. Dean says:

kindles are evil…unless I am trying to get published and then I will slip to the dark side…but until my book is finished…kindles are evil…
